International Conference on Population & Development (ICPD) + 5

Thai family planning policy has, from the start, sought to promote birth control on a voluntary basis. This has resulted in women being more willing to respond to the government’s family planning campaigns. This article looks into the different issues and themes surrounding sexual and reproductive health and rights in Thailand, such as abortion, violence against women, HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases (STD), target groups: adolescents and unmarried women, female migrants, infertility, women of post-reproductive age, and sex workers. Read about it in Taking up the Cairo Challenge - Country Study of Thailand.
