ARROW recognises the importance of forging genuine and equal partnerships with NGOs that share common goals, objectives and strategies to enable NGOs from the region to present a united and stronger voice in order to influence women’s health and rights in the regional and international arena. These NGOs are also committed to ICPD and Beijing implementation of women’s health and rights, particularly sexual and reproductive health and rights. Most of these partners have either participated or collaborated in ARROW’s activities or projects.

ARROW’s work in Malaysia involves the International Conference of Population and Development (ICPD) + 15 Project (link). ARROW has two project partners in the ICPD+15 project – the Reproductive Rights Advocacy Alliance of Malaysia (RRAAM) and the Federation of Reproductive Health Associations of Malaysia (FRHAM).
Both these partners are working together and have chosen two issues to focus on: contraception/abortion and sexuality education.  They have researched and explored the subject of increasing access to the reproductive right of contraceptive information and services and are advocating the implementation of the sex education curriculum as part of the Malaysian education system.

ARROW has also worked in Malaysia to monitor the implementation of the ICPD PoA at both the +5 and the +10 anniversaries.
